This mural was created as part of the scenic design for Ruth on the Rocks, drawing from the show’s central idea of nostalgia and the mixtape as a deeply personal, ever-evolving archive. Inspired by Ruth Guerra’s storytelling that trigger memories in real time, I developed vibrant portraits of the actress from different time periods of her life, that anchors the space while echoing the emotional shifts of her performance. The work blends bold color, expressive realism, and theatrical lighting to create an environment that feels both intimate and alive, supporting the audience’s journey through her memory, music, and identity.
