In Mexican culture, as children, we are often told by our fathers, ‘Los hombres no lloran,’ which means ‘men don’t cry.’ As a result, we tend to hide most of our emotions behind a mask, showing people only what they want to see, while fearing that they might discover the truth beneath it.
